Just after 5 p.m. Friday, a silver Toyota Camry headed south on Broadway when the female driver ran
the red light, hitting the a truck heading from East Showalter to Wester Showalter, according to Georgetown Police Department Officer Roy Crawford.
The Toyota Tundra was hauling a wagon with hay when it was hit by the Camry in the right rear quarter panel, causing the trailer to jackknife and flip the vehicle. Both passengers in the truck climbed from the vehicle without injuries. The female driver of the Camry was transported by Georgetown/Scott County Emergency Medical Services to Georgetown Community Hospital with minor injuries, according to Crawford.
"The victims involved were all very lucky," Crawfor said. "It could have been much worse."
