HPD: Red-light runner causes crash near Southwest Fwy

HOUSTON – Two men had to be freed from a car early Monday after a red-light runner crashed into them near the Southwest Freeway.
An HPD unit witnessed a woman in a Lexus run through a red light on Greenbriar and crash into a small car, pinning it against a metal light pole.
Two men were trapped inside the vehicle. HFD Heavy Rescue had to pry them out. They were both transported to the hospital in stable condition.
The woman was also transported to the hospital to be checked out as a precaution.
